Vegetable Inks

by Helen on September 28, 2007

Ok. So Scott wrote a whole post about Soy Inks. All true. But, he didn’t know about a fabulous Vegetable ink our ink rep just recommended. It uses a linseed oil base and the company has been making ink for 85 years.

We’re trying in out this weekend on our offset press and letterpress. Yipee!!

Linseed oil is a very traditional base — anyone who paints with oils on canvas is familiar with it.

That’s how we like it — ancient tried and true with 21st C technology…

We’ll be using this ink on our treefree and postconsumer recycled paper Holiday Card line. Bright and Perky and Eco.

Yipee!!
